Alternative livelihoods for artisanal small scale miners
under the project, 200 artisanal gold miners /ASGM-ers/ will plant forage, potatoes and other vegetables and produce spinach fertilizers. By providing artisanal gold miners with such a livelihood, the project will reduce the use of mercury and consequently pollution of the mining area.
