The project will involve activities such as preparation and publication of information materials on the dangers of mercury and its harmful effects on human health and the environment, registration of artisanal miners, as well as distribution and presentation of the relevant instructions and recommendations to them.

In order to change artisanal miners? mindset, the project has developed manuals for 16 kinds of alternative jobs and is distributing them in 32 thousand copies in the provinces.
The CBO handed over equipment to artisanal miners' 4 target groups to enable their work in a healthy environment. Artisanal miners are not keen to engage in gold mining, but do it for a livelihood
