Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The project bring water supplies to the local community where community never had accessible clean water supplies.
The only access is to cross rough terrain to access creek water for drinking and domestic washing. And often the labor to access these water sources were laid on the women and children.
Making access of the water supplies as well as set protection of the forest is contributing to the environment as well as reducing labor on women and children.
Notable Community Participation
The water works in mapping and laying the pipes are undertaken by local youths. Boys are engaged in the hard labor of walking and working through the rugged terrain to map and laying of pipes.
