The opportunity of the project is justified by the necessity of capitalizing the partially arranged space and
the creation of a site of biodiversity and landscaping for the inhabitants of Falesti in the area of 11.4
hectares. The land that is adjacent to the R17 B?l?i-Sculeni national street belongs to the Town Hall of
Falesti. All over the land there are piles of mature trees of native species.
Within the proposed project, activities are required to meet the design requirements and the provisions of
the various Norms and Standards.
Identified issues:
- The existence of an unsightly public space without use, although it may be a beneficial place for green
spaces, biodiversity, lessons;
- The need to increase green areas in the city,
- Not using the recreational potential in the area to the maximum, because there are no equipped access
ways.
The land is prone to landslides on a section of about 1 km, crossed by the R16 Balti-F?le?ti-Sculeni
national road, the artery which underwent capital rehabilitation with financing from the European
Investment Bank (EIB). According to the draft project documentation for the km 25 + 700-26 + 680
sector, there are foreseen works to stop the erosion processes and to restore the stressed relief to the initial
situation.
The project Feasibility study on 11.4 ha of the forest-park from Falesti locality, has as general objective to
conserve and maintain the biodiversity and to organize an efficient administration system of 11.4 ha area
of the forest-park in the city of Falesti by developing a Study of feasibility.
OS1: Development of techniques and planning tools for 11.4 ha of forest-park in Falesti city, in
accordance with the sustainable development requirements
OS2: Conservation and protection of the environment by taking concrete measures to protect the area and
explore natural resources and protect the trees and plants species.
The project activities was an innovative process of public participation in identifying the problems related
to arrangement and management of the forest-park of 11.4 in Falesti city, also being considered a good
example to be taken over and reset in other localities, because it offered information, training and
practical participation of the active persons from the locality. A resonant success was the contribution
from a person, who invested in the respective area articles for the leisure park, realized as a contribution
in kind or volunteer work.
