Improving land function through a silvopastoral system that supports community livestock as a source of livelihood and energy, and the creation of learning centers for communities in Nusa Penida
Goal:
Increasing the carrying capacity of land through silvopastoral to support the economy and the existence of an information center for the community related to the ecologic program in NuSa Penida
objectives (PROJECT SPECIAL OBJECTIVE)
Objective 1:
Improvement of community livestock quality and silvopastoral development
Indicator:
1. Increased understanding of group members involved in silvopastoral development
2. The availability of animal feed in the dry season is guaranteed
Activity:
1. Program socialization to related parties and recruitment of potential members
2. Determination of animal feed demonstration plots in each village (Desa Kutampi Atas, Klumpu Village and Sakti Village)
3. Training on breeding, seeding and planting animal feed
4. Training how to harvest animal feed, storage, feeding and cleaning the cage
5. Training to measure the impact of feeding on cattle through measurements of animal height, body circumference and body length
6. Training on making additional feed from available local materials
Objective 2:
Assistance of cattle with a cadas system (profit sharing) and biogas production
Indicator:
1. There is livestock assistance for group members who have seriousness with the ringworm system
2. Making biogas for environmentally friendly energy is applied at the training center
Activity:
- Identification of beneficiaries of livestock and biogas in accordance with specified criteria
- Submission of beef cattle to farmers / breeders who meet the criteria
- Development of biogas as a pilot program
Objective 3:
Institutional strengthening, learning media and the creation of a training center
Indicator:
1. There is a place for all parties to continue with Nusa Penida's eco logic activities
2. Sustainability of Nusa Penida's eco-logic actions for the future
3. Increased capacity of local communities and their companions to continue working in Nusa Penida
4. The existence of learning media as a community reference in continuing the understanding that has been obtained
Activity:
1. Planning the location of the training center and involvement of several community components
2. Construction of a training center that contains practical examples of eco-logic
3. Institutional and organizational strengthening training
4. Making booklets and posters to be distributed to each village
