- A project information sharing workshop was held in the village of Fass Njag Choi for 34 participants from all the participating communities at the start of field activities to discuss an finalise the work plan for the project.

- Thus was followed by the identification and demarcation of sites for the apiaries in the 5 villages. Each apiary was cleared of weeds and fenced with poles and barbed wires to temporarily house the apiaries.

- An onsite training programme was conducted for 25 bee farmers on modern apiary management and covered all aspects dealing with bee farming that is both environmentally friendly and income generating

- 125 Kenya Top Bar (KTB) bee hives were procured together with 20 bee suits, 20 plastic pans, 20 smokers were distributed among 20 youth participating in the project. In addition, other tools and equipment consisting of 5 bee hive tools, 25 cutlasses, 25 rakes, 5 honey sieves were procured and distributed among the 5 groups of the association

- Another training session on modern bee farming was conducted for 35 participants and covered all the topics ranging from hive placement, care and maintenance, harvesting methods, transformations and value addition techniques, marketing strategies, record keeping and small business management.

- A tree nursery was established to raise 3,000 seedlings of various tree species to be planed in the 5 apiaries to enhance pollination by bees.

- A 2 day training was conducted for 5 groups with each group composed of 10 participants to explore the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of the groups who would be implementing the project. The training was conducted by The Department of Community Development who specialize in group formation and development of rural communities.

- Market Analysis and Development Training was conducted for 2 days for 25 participants in the village of Fass Njaga Choi in Lower Nuimi District. The training took place from 19 - 20 February 2020 and drew participants from the 5 groups i.e. Fass Manko Bee keepers Association, Mbog Dolleh Association of Jamagen village, Nyomuta Kafoo of Kerr Sanyang village, Anda Geff Group of Touba Angallen village and Ndofan Beekeepers Club.

- 25 youth were trained on bee product value addition and had their skills enhanced on bee products transformation to enhance their income levels.

- 2 honey outlets were constructed in Fass and and stocked with the products of the project. For the 1st harvest, 48 litres of honey was obtined from 3 sires (Touba Angallen, Jamagen and Kerr Sanyang and sold for GMD4, 800.00. Only 28 hives out of a total of 125 hives had enough honey to be harvested for the 1st harvest.
