"Sustainable livelihood and environmental management project for improving the economic and social status of women of Ndungu Kebbeh village in the Lower Nuimi District of The Gambia".
The main goal of the project is to enhance food security and alleviate poverty in Boka Dimbalanteh women?s group by diversifying horticulture production and creating micro entrepreneurship support through providing loans for members of the group which will be used to develop their agro-enterprises.
The project will endeavor to increase household income level to 5% (amongst women and youth) and enhance increased food and nutrition.
Specific objective:
? To promote agro-enterprise development in Ndungu Kebbeh that will increase farm incomes for women on a sustainable manner.
? To promote crop diversification that shall reduce dependence on single crop farming that are likely to be affected adversely by climate change.
? To strengthen the capacity of the association in combating climate change and land degradation in their locality.
