Gestion, valorisation et élimination de Salvinia molesta pour la production du compost et du biogaz)
Dans un contexte de lutte contre la pollution du lac Ossa, la Family Green Corporation entreprend oeuvrer pour la gestion durable de la salvinia, en la valorisant en nouvelle source d?énergie saine pour le chauffage des aliments (Biogaz) et du compost pour accompagner les populations vers les techniques d?agriculture biologique. Les populations cibles sont celles de la commune de Dizangué. Le projet vise à sensibiliser et former les populations de cette localité sur les bonnes pratiques de gestion durable de la salvinia et de leur montrer l?impact de cette gestion sur leur conditions environnementales et économiques.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
As part of the project, the production and commercialization of ecologic charcoal from Salvinia can be added. Also, fish farming solutions can be studied, using solid bio fertilizer as feeding stock for fish.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Social meetings with participative discussions with different groups (women, men, youth?) Practical training sessions for Indigenous people to get a closer eye and touch. Ecofishing activities (Salvinia fishing) to get the first concerned closer to the solution. A communicator mastering the local language is available to ease the contact with the indigenous people. Video and photos watch parties might be initiated to create interest for the people.
