COMMUNITY BASED PROJECT TO INCULCATE SUSTAINABLE FARMING CONCEPT TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES/FARMERS IN PADAWAN AREAS (KAMPUNG BETONG, TKPM SEMENGGOK, KAMPUNG SINAR BARU AND KAMPUNG BUMBOK) TO MITIGATE LAND DEGRADATION
The purpose of this planning grant is to carry out preliminary activities that includes
(i) a survey period with communities on details of the problems/assessment of the problems, (ii) diagnose further the root cause/s of the problems, (iii) identify the possible project risk/s, (iv) design and tailor the work plans to address the problems with input from authority/expert/community (includes measurable outcomes), (v) identify the assumption of funding and resources in total through market survey on materials/equipments/tools needed (price, type, quantity etc), (vi) feasibility study (includes suitability of materials/equipments/tools used) and (vii) compile and complete the planning of full project proposal with the aim to nurture local communities to practice sustainable farming, re-mediate their farm land as to reduce the land degradation and market their produce at a higher profit margin.
