KSFFYG COMMUNITY WETLAND CONSERVATION PROJECT
KSFFYG COMMUNITY WETLAND CONSERVATION PROJECT
The project will mobilize the Kito Village community to conserve Gambuzi wetlands by engaging in sustainable fish farming, desisting from wetland burning and reclamation, and in so doing secure the sensitive habitat of the shoebill (Balaeniceps rex) and other wetland birds, fish and other animal and plant species with the hope that they will thrive and multiply, and thereby promote community eco-tourism.
