Knowledge channeling is notably based on information meetings, youth engagement, reading and writing sessions and financial inclusion initiatives. in addition to reading and writing classes done by benevolent teachers coming from France and directed towards both children and adults. Furthermore, the association continues to train the population to produce cheese, honey, forage, wicker-work etc ... The association wishes to develop relatively simple and cheap techniques to effectively manage the water that is collected from the rainfalls by the installation of a mecanism of flows derivation and micro dams. They pursue the creation of attics for forage. All these initiatives, once proven to be successful, are relayed to the population with word of mouth. The association will continue its relations with the medias interested in their projet.

Promoting literacy thanks to French teachers volunteer since 2012 to organize reading and writing sessions for the inhabitants. The building activities that will be carried out as part of the grant are: -the construction of micro dams -the construction of water reserves -the development of gardens for forage production -the development of granaries -the plantation of trees in tree parks -soil protection thanks to the creation of composting silos -the creation of an apiary -the development of chicken coops

The projects have permitted a greater awareness towards the local representatives as the Minister of Health visited the village (for the infirmary and the cheese dairy) so did the Minister for Development (during the installation of the dry restrooms) and the Minister of Education.

The two associations will pursue the initiatives started in 2012 by organizing a weekly information meeting. The meetings focus on five themes: 1. Why should we develop gardens? 2. Why forage is essential? 3. How to preserve the plantations and the tree parks? 4. Fighting deforestation with the micro dams? 5.Bees and hens for a better ecosystem.

The women of the region are for most of them the wives of shepherds. Since 2012, they have been sollicitating the Association Les Abeilles de Dougoum for the betterment of their living conditons in addition to making them active participants in the protection of the environnement. The Association has helped with the water provision to the village, the betterment of alimentation with the creation of private gardens, drugs and hygiene councelling to help with children's health. Each woman has the Opportunity to open a bank account at the CPEC. Reading and writing sessions are also programmed to help women to manage the budget of their households.
