The project is planned to work with Community Based Organization (CBOs) which were already formed by government strategic plan as microenterprises such as Dongore Dhenku Kebele?s Kiltu Dhungugi and Kersa Dhungugi microenterprises to promote the implementation of small microeconomics and climate smart economy activities that will reduce the vulnerabilities of the communities to climate change, soil erosion, decrease the climate driven livelihood pressures so that citizens can be able to restore landscapes and protect forest in areas of hill side and contribute to sustainable agro ? ecosystem management. The project?s outcome is expected to benefit: the surrounding communities, in such a way that the communities learn how to restore the degraded landscapes, sustainable farming practices, and living in a healthy environment by developing potential for enhancement of sustainable livelihood initiatives that will allow them for sustainable utilization of available resources on their land including forests. The expected outcome of project is to restore the damaged ecosystem of the area and to contribute for the reduction of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) emissions and play its role in reduction of global warming effects.
