GEPC established by the farmers of Hawassa woreda Jara Gallalcha Kebele to tackle the problems through approaches of no free distribution of any project input, mobilizing regular savings from each members, leveraging the additional resources from OMFI, working closely with the concerned government offices, engaging business types activities, using revolving fund system to address more members, strengthen the CBOs through capacity development and soon.

The project is believed to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Goal 13 the CBO aims to take urgent actions to combat climate change and its impacts and Goal 15 protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss and SGP-OP6 immediate strategy
