After the implementation of this initiative, the entire forest area of Jamaat will be under the control of the local population and illegal cutting of trees and fruit-bearing crops will be stopped. The population will be involved in the restoration and reproduction of bio cultures in the territories allotted to them. On the basis of the ?Young Naturalist? club, systematic measures will be taken to protect nature and inform the population about the future plans of the Organization?s activities in the chosen target. Using the fruits of wild plants and herbs to extract income will give new impetus to the reproduction of endangered species, which in due time will provide a normal habitat for all wild animals and birds.
The following facts will be positive results for achieving the objectives of the project:
- the tendency of biodiversity conservation will be restored
- the area of wild crops will increase, the number of wild animals and birds will increase
- to increase the level of knowledge of the population on the protection of nature and moderate use of a natural resource to improve living conditions.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
As a result of the work done, all the territories of the river and forest plantations will be assigned to groups of people and thereby ensure constant monitoring by the population of rational nature management and create a more favorable habitat for wild animals and birds.
The population will use fruits, seeds and leaves of wild crops for entrepreneurial purposes to increase income, which will lead to a decrease in poaching and other phenomena that damage the ecosystem of the area.
The level of environmental knowledge of the local population will increase and they will be maximally involved in protecting the environment of their region
The local population will master the practice of using wild fruits, berries and medicinal plants in everyday life as an environmentally friendly product.
Local livestock will be kept in safe seasonal kashars, which will reduce the dislike of the local population for the snow leopard
Capacity - Building Component
Determine the average yield of the above bio cultures in this area and their further use as a source of additional income from the local population;
Conduct seminars, trainings and a festival among the local population to increase the level of ecological knowledge of the population and the rational use of wild fruits, a berry of medicinal plants as a source of additional income for the local population.
Creation of the Young Naturalist Club to further assist relevant government and non-governmental environmental organizations from among schoolchildren and students in the Rushan district;
Strengthening the seasonal kashar population for livestock in order to prevent attacks by the snow leopard and other wild animals, which later themselves become the subject of revenge by the population.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Restoration of the floodplain of the Pyanj and Bartang river and their further preservation as a habitat of the snow leopard, which directly depends on the rational use of natural resources by the local population.
Reinforce distant overshadowing of the population to prevent attacks on livestock from the side of the snow leopard
Increasing public knowledge in the field of ecology and biodiversity conservation and their involvement in the protection of the snow leopard
In order to achieve the above objectives, our organization, in the framework of this project, has set itself the following tasks:
Conduct an inventory of existing forest areas of the Jamaat and identify the approximate number of wild plants in these areas;
Assign a certain territory to each VO (committee of the village) based on a social contract for further control, use and protection of the designated territory.
Restore and preserve the plantations of sea buckthorn, wild rose, barberry and other fruitful and medicinal plants in the area;
Notable Community Participation
The project provides an opportunity to generate income from natural resources, which leads to the conservation and multiplication of the forests of the floodplains of the Pyanj and Bartang rivers as a habitat for the snow leopard and other wild animals. Within the framework of the project, workshops for the processing of medicinal resources, a club of young naturalists are being created, and two seasonal kashars are being strengthened.
Gender Focus
Within the framework of realization of this project, seminars and trainings will (2 workshops and 8 trainings, the total number of participants 350 people) be held among the local population by highly qualified specialists in the field of ecology and environment to preserve the ecosystem of the area and reasonable use of the natural resource to increase the profitability of the population. Interested individuals from local communities will receive mini-grants in the form of equipment for the implementation of mini projects for the collection, drying and processing of wild fruits and berries as well as medicinal plants. Through the organization of a music festival, the local community will become more familiar with the scale of destruction of wild animals and their habitat by poachers, ways of their preservation, and activation of the local population to protect the ecosystem of their jamaat. Most schoolchildren and students of the Rushan district will become members of the Young Naturalist Club and will consciously begin to use the advanced experience of developed countries in protecting the wild animals and other biodiversity of our ecosystem.
Within the framework of this project, seasonal kasharis will be strengthened by the Jamaat population to keep livestock from snow leopard attacks and other wild animals.
direct beneficiaries of the project 3937 people (350 participants of trainings, 75 families who receive a grant, 5 members of the nursery family 3500 population of two villages (strengthening of kashars)
