The project will have a positive impact on the formation and maintenance of stability of high-mountainous pastures and snow leopard habitats, covered by the project, reduce the processes of degradation of ecosystems under the influence of anthropogenic factors
achieving global environmental benefits;

The project will have a positive impact on the formation and stability of highland pastures and snow leopard habitats in the Khovaling region, since restoration and protection of highland pastures affected by desertification, degradation and erosion of the mountainous areas covered by the project, reduce the processes of ecosystem degradation under the influence of anthropogenic factors.

The key expected results of the project are as follows:
- 5 trainings on sustainable use of pasture lands and rehabilitation techniques will be provided to 100 community residents of Siyafark, Zelolak and Sangdara villages of Shugnov Jamoat, Khovaling district;
- 3-5 local farmers will be selected for growing fodder crops and demo-plots will be established in the area of 10 ha, 2 ha land in each farm;
- A total of 350 kg of sainform and 80kg of alfa-alfa high-quality seeds harvested, out of which 50% or 125kg of sainform and 40kg of alfa-alfa seeds distributed among 5-7 local farmers, which repeatedly plnted in 10 ha land under sainfoin and in 10 ha land under alfa-alfa;
- In 1st year of project implementation local farmers generated 2,000 tajik Somoni each and 2nd year the income increased up to 4,000 tajik somoni each;
- 25 seasonal employment created withint the demo-plots, including 10 women and 15 men will directly benefit from project activities and provided with self-employment;
- Seed harvested from 1st and 2nd year of project implementation will be planted in above 70 ha of high-mountainous pasturelands in target villages;
- 200 schoolchildren is targeted to engage and to participate in Snow leopard day in October 2019;
