"Risk assessment for SB in at least 5-6 villages. Strengthening (not construction) of paddocks and cattle sheds in local communities and territories using RES/ AES technologies (solar panels, portable devices)". The project is about increasing capacity and resilience of local communities of Panjikent (North of the country) district through provision of education campaign and demonstration activities with enhancement of livestock farmers and houses to prevent snow leopard attacks and fatal cases; Panjikent is also one of the priority areas of Snow Leopard areal - mainly for migrating animals - that during strong winter can attack to house livestock.

Project Characteristics and Results
Replication of project activities
- Increase the capacity of local authorities and pasture committees in the protection of the Snow Leopard (SL), and pasture management. Developing clear visions and plans for the protection of the SL and the management of natural resources by local communities in coordination with local authorities; - Realization of strengthening (not building) pens and cattle in local communities and territories using renewable energy technologies (solar panels); ? Implementation of plans to protect the SL and the management of forests and pastures ? Training local people in sustainable pasture management and restoration of degraded pastures; - Realizations Energy-saving technologies for shepherds.
Project sustainability
The overall objective of the project will be achieved through the implementation of informative technical demonstration activities: - Increasing the capacity of local authorities and Community Based Organizations to protect the Snow Leopard (SB) and pasture management. Developing clear visions and plans for measures to protect the Snow Leopard (SB) and pasture management in coordination with local authorities, - Implementation of demonstration-technical projects on training local communities in methods of combating erosion, pasture management and reducing the degradation of natural resources.
