Solar lighting in Mahata, Nuhjd plain, Socotra Governorate

Mahata and Qamalhon are two neighbouring villages located in Nujid plain south of Socotra Governorate ,whereas Karal is located in the interwadi of the eastern region that lead to Nujid plin.. The two villages are located between the hillslopes to the north and the Sea to the south. The community is a collective of sheherders that managing livestock in hillslopes with having their permanent residences in the cost. This phenomenon is common in Socotra a seminomadic system full depend of livestock raring.
Project will help improving local community livelihood through provison of lighting. The total benefitiries of 777 inhabitants (427 and 366 males and femals in 136 families. The project will have a direct impact on community enconot when annual saving of US$ 413 per family and CO2 28.4 tons per year.
Environmental awareness with target local omunity when 60 men and 60 women oarticipte in a one day workshop addressing climate changes.
