The Lower Dniester Ramsar Site is a valuable area from the point of view of biological diversity, that is why it was recognized as Ramsar site (1316) and later it was included in the Fund of the natural areas protected by State.
The project will contribute to a better environment in the Lower Dniester Ramsar Site and improve the quality of life of the local population.
The project purpose is to contribute to the conservation of the local landscape by involving key actors in solving local problems.
The project objectives are to contribute to the conservation of the local landscape through forestation and arrangement of a nature visitor point in the Lower Dniester Ramsar Site and to increase the awareness raising of the local population by involving them in practical activities.
The project area is the protected area Lower Dniester Ramsar Site.
Among the results of the project will be: approx. 6 hectares of forest planted to protect agricultural fields and water basins along Dniester Old river bed and on the left bank of Dniester and arrangement of a nature visitor point in the Lower Dniester Ramsar Site; involving local persons in practical activities by announcing some contests, editing and distribution of information materials.
The target groups of the project are local public authorities and local population from the Lower Dniester Ramsar Site.
