Central Nujid (Stero, Bedhola, Mahata and Maharef villages) is located in Nujid coastal plain in southern Socotra and Dhidha?a Telha in Diksam). Most of its inhabitants are herders and fishermen moved from mountain to coastal area due to public services availability e.g. education, health and roads. Communities also practice agriculture in the form of date palm plantation along the coast. Herding livestock remains the principle activity for the majority.
Project aims are to support communities securing water resources for their livestock while herding in the plain.
