Establish an alternative livelihood fund for local women of Naghashe Village in Qeshm Island to support CCAs in marine and coastal areas of Naghashe Village
Fishing is an important livelihood for the people of Qeshm Island, however women are usually not so involved in it. In Naghashe Village of Qeshm Island due to a difficult economic situation, women are taking a role in reviving a traditional fishing method (Moshta) as well as playing a role in the protection of the mangrove forest. This project focusses on production of local handicrafts to reduce the pressure on the forest.
