The Salehyieh wetland (150ha) is near Qarpuzabad Village in Alborz Province. At present various communities are using its resources. Overgrazing, pollution from agriculture and industries have degraded the ecosystem, however the project aims to raise awareness of the local community regarding the significance of this wetland through trainings of school students and children on bird watching and wetland ecosystem. Also developing Salehiyeh Wetland portal for information sharing.
