Community Capacity Strengthening for Mangrove Conservation and Waste Management in Prey Nup district, Preh Sihanouk Province (MCWM). The project is aiming at strengthening capacity of 20 management committee members (4 women) of the two Community Fisheries in Tuol Toteung and Prey Nup commune to manage and sustainable use of 310 hectares of CFi fishing ground. The project also 25,000 of Mangrove trees on 15 ha of degraded mangrove areas and conserved 75 ha of the existing of mangrove trees. In order to avoid the discharge wastes into CFi fishing areas, about 2 tons of waste in Tuol Toteung and Prey Nup commune are collected and transported by Waste Service Company to the location defined by district/provincial authority and educate villagers in target communes (Tuol Toteung and Prey Nup) for better understanding on waste management and keeping waste at their house properly.
