A collaborative effort, between agriculture students and farmers to increase farm resilience against water deficit, during the dry season
The project aims at providing training to SIAH students about water conservation techniques and field applications, engage them in other farming activities with established farmers and provide a referential document to the student for future use while applying for employment in the field of sustainable agriculture. The programme will take place in a farming area with the known issue of water deficit and affected farmers will be equipped with water container, a connection from the water source to the container and irrigation system to supply water, from the container to the agriculture field to to increase the availability of irrigation water during the dry season and decrease wastage of irrigation water by introduction of water conservation method alongside a low volume irrigation system.
