The Global Shapers Environmental Youth Leadership Programme is a six-week youth engagement programme - run during the school holidays and based across the entirety of Mahé - to equip the next generation of environmentally-conscious young leaders with the skills, knowledge, confidence and networks to positively tackle local climate action-related causes in their communities. Through developing an interactive programme, participants will meet prominent national leaders operating in the conservation space in Seychelles, learning first-hand about the climate-related challenges that our country faces, as well as community-led solutions that are taking place on the ground. Participants will also be connected to existing conservation groups and NGOs in Seychelles through experiential activities, in an attempt to attract more young people towards volunteering opportunities. This programme will train 60 young people aged 11 - 20 over a 1.5-year period.
