In recent years, decreasing of fish population have caused to big problems in our country. Families who are living by fishing have a shortage of livelihoods. Also, because of supply and demand, fish are consumed more expensive by citizens. Thanks to technological advances, fish can also be reached to domestic markets by means of freezer vehicles and thus the consumption habits of the new generation have started to change. So the demand for fish has increased. Due to increasing to demand, An increase in unconscious hunting has been observed in the country. Because of unconscious hunting, fishes don?t lay enough eggs. So, population of fish is decreasing day by day. If the current situation continues, our country will become dependent on the foreign countries.
It is essential situation that the necessary studies and measures should be implemented together with all stakeholders.
