Blue Jobs for Blue Planet
Our project, aims ?blue economy? to help the biological balance, diversity and sustainability of our marine ecosystem for commonwealth and human benefit.
By this project, we will work for creating awareness and methodologies for the sea resources to be used consciously and respectfully, in a manner that is compatible with the marine ecosystem and envirement.
We will propagate traditional processing and preservation methods of fish that are excess supply and discarded because of its? low economic value. By this traditional methodology, discarded fish will be preserved of its? nutritional value for long time and will be accessible for local and urban people, in every season of the year.
In addition, we will create and spread an online source, for traditional ways of production and storage of fish, in order to benefit from the seas/sea products, in more convenient and healthier way for the community and for future generations.
In this manner, our project will apply the concept of ?blue jobs? within the scope of the globally adopted ?blue policy?. It will also support the GEF SGP's indicators that are BD1, BD2, CD and Recovering issues.
