Participatory Tanahusur Landscape Conservation Project
Tanahusur Landscpape offers majestic view of Himalayas to the north, panorama of rugged mountains in the horizone and meandering rivers and river planes at the valley below. The place is also rich in biodiveristy with few community forests managed by local community. The site also offers ancient arteficats and palace remain of Sen Dynasty of 17 century. Thus the project tried to conserve the landscape integrating both historical monuments and natural beauty; conserving biodiversity and promoting eco-cultural toursim in the area.

Project Characteristics and Results
Policy Influence
The Vyas Municipality also prepared a Toursim Master Plan to conserve and promote the Tanahusur landscape and archeological sites. This has paved way to planned development.
Project sustainability
The tourist and picnic lovers are visiting the place. With this influx, the homestay and other income generating activities are blooming ensuring the sustainability of their conservation and livelihood efforts.
