The project supported to metamorphose the Tanahusur landscape to a new tourism destination. The project worked closely with the locals including 3 community forest user groups to conserve 291 ha of forest including Parijat Forest ( Nyctanthes arbor-tristis). A 12km long ecotrail has also been established which begins from main Highway to Tanhusur hill top (upto 1265m). On the trail, many Chautara (resting place under the shade of Tree, typically the trees include Ficus species -Ficus religiousa, Ficus bengalensis and Ficus rumphii) were maintained for proper resting place for hikers. The project also supported a 4kw solar water lifting to provide drinking water in the community so as to reduce water scarcity at the top. Likewise, the project also provided training on homestay management and organic farming to the locals. To initiate the homestay, the project supported 20 homestays a bed and blanket. In the same vein, the project also supported seeds and agri tools to locals for organic farming after the training.

From the planning stage, the project collaborated with different line agencies to initiate development interventions. For the first time, a two day Environment and Cultural Heritage fare was organised in the Tanahusr Hillock, where more than 5000 people, including dignitaries from various field visited to enjoy the beauty of Tanahusur. The fare was instrumental in generating cofunding for various development interventions. With the support from municipality and provincial government, black topping of the road from Highway to Tanahusur were initiated, additional one drinking water scheme constructed and 20 homestays established. Department of Archeology had documented/ identified all the historic artifacts belonging to Sen dynasty (17th century) and also supported to construct an old temple. With the influx of tourist and picnic lovers, the locals saw the more opportunity for generating income and induced entrepreneurships. With their own personal financing, the homestays are adding small building to make rooms for more visitor. Some expanded their restaurants by more chairs and tables so that visitos can enjoy the food as well as nature. Some were also engaged in poultry farming and animal husbandry which aided them to meet the meat demand in the homestay.
