Reducing the Impact of Indiscriminate Disposal of Used/Waste Oil in the West Senatorial District of Lagos State, Nigeria
The project will involve the provision of 120 pieces of 2,000 liters of used/waste oil containers (with lifespan above 10 years and 5 times stronger than the normal water tank, made by our partner-GEE PEE) to three selected mechanic villages in Lagos state. The stored used/waste oil will be recycled by our partners ? ECO-CIRCLE and EBENCO. It is expected that this project will result in an improved waste oil containerized and recycling/re-refining of 50% in the targeted area in the first year and up to 80% on the third year of the larger state-wide project.
The SGP fund we seek shall be used for the advocacy and awareness (N6,611,800) ($18,366), the provision of 120 pieces (2000 liters) of used/waste oil containers (N9,088,200) ($25,245) at N75,735 each, while M&E and Lesson learnt/Knowledge sharing takes (N500,000) ($1,388) and project officer?s allowance (N1,800,000) ($5,000). While our sister company and partners with GSWA (our NGO) have jointly expended over N57,000,000 ($158,333) on the provision of the containers MOLDS from 30, 50 100, 300, 500, 1000 to 2000 liters.
