The overall objective of the current project is to reduce emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere from energy generation and at the same time improve the socio-economic status of the people of Ijaye Community. The Project involves the installation of a 20 kW Solar Mini grid facility to supply constant electricity to Ijaye Community. The Project will also enhance the capacity of public institutions in Oyo State to promote the use of renewable energy based mini grid facilities to increase access to electricity in rural areas of the state. Furthermore, the benefiting community will be trained on ways to use energy with efficiency in mind and on the productive use of energy.
