Chibban, Aminabad and its suburbs consists of disorgnized and congested localities with a population of over two lac. The majority of houses are raging from 5 marlas to 2 and a half marlas.

The Industries of Faisalabad, attracted skilled and semi-skilled labour force from adjacant areas. The labour force purchased small piece of land here and constructed shabby houses without considering the pre-requisits of twon planning or the future requirements of civic life.

The area is a low income genration, (average income is Rs.1000/- to Rs.2000 per month per family). Majority of the people are idulged in low scale and poor technological business and labour. The genral health conditions here are pitiable, and one of important health damaging element is pollution in this industrial suburb.

The area badly needs plantation both at home and street levels in order to reduce the pollution effect caused by the adjacent industries, worst sanitation condition and congestion. The community memebrs tried to address these problems on their own but without much success as they desparately lacked the required tehcnical know how and community participation techniques.
