As a result of the implementation of the project, the climate change adaptation plan of Keda Municipality will be developed.
As part of the project, an intensive training program focusing on capacity building in environmental topics will be conducted. This program will cover areas such as sustainable management of natural resources, climate change, and environmental protection. Additionally, thematic publications aimed at raising awareness will be prepared. Workshops and seminars are also planned to be organized as part of the project.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
As part of the project, the local government will actively participate in community meetings during the development of community adaptation plans. Furthermore, local residents will join disabled individuals in celebrating environmental days together. The local government will also be provided with information on current issues related to climate change.
Gender Focus
Gender balance will be upheld throughout the project's implementation, incorporating a dedicated women's room and involving the Gender Equality Council at Keda City Hall. The outcomes achieved through the project will be made public and equally accessible to any interested party. This commitment ensures transparency and inclusivity in sharing project achievements with the broader community.
Notable Community Participation
One of the target groups for the project is young people, who will actively participate in various activities throughout the implementation process. Specifically:

Absence of climate change adaptation plans tailored for persons with disabilities.
Through the implementation of the outlined strategies, the project aims to improve the conditions for disabled people in the municipality. This includes enhancing their skills, fostering social inclusion, and developing climate change adaptation plans. Ultimately, the project seeks to activate and involve disabled individuals in various public activities.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
To enhance population awareness, the project outlines the following strategies:
Involvement of the population in the celebration of environmental days;
Conducting an information campaign on climate change (distribution of e-information, video reportage, brochure);
Organization of the final conference and photo exhibition on climate change, natural disasters and disabled people;
Development and introduction of replication strategy.
Project Results
? People with disabilities living in Keda Municipality formed the coalition of disabled people of Keda Municipality - "Climate Ambassadors" - in the form of an unregistered union. Through various thematic trainings and practical activities, the coalition increased their skills and abilities in socio-economic and environmental issues in Keda Municipality.
? A climate change adaptation plan was developed, outlining adaptation measures for local communities. This initiative has enhanced preparedness for reducing the expected risks of climate-related natural disasters.
? Environmental events organized with the participation of members of the coalition of disabled people and students in the municipality raised awareness among the population of Keda on environmental issues. Additionally, these events contributed to the integration of disabled people into society.
? The prepared video reached over 225,000 people in Georgia's population through social networks.
