To Implement the Sustainable Bee-keeping Development Practices as a Method to Conserve Biodiversity and Improve the Livelihoods of Local Communities in Akmola Oblast by Establishing a Stable Queen Bee Stock and Using Bigger Hives in Yereimentau District, Akmola Oblast
Due to the difficult climatic conditions of the long winter period in the region, the development of beekeeping is significantly hampered. The small number of bees negatively affects the productivity, biodiversity of the region as a whole. The project proposes the creation of a demonstration site with insulated beehives and a carbon greenhouse where the bees will be placed for the winter. This method will create comfortable conditions for bees in the region and increase the number of bee families, which are one of the connecting links in the natural chain of plant reproduction and, ultimately, affect the entire ecosystem as a whole.
Scheduled seminars at the demonstration site will allow to show economic benefits of beekeeping to local communities.
