Project goal: Creation of a demonstration site in the ecological settlement of Almarai using effective agroforestry approaches for the purpose of their subsequent replication in larger areas of the Almaty region.

Project Objectives:
1. Implementation of agroforestry practices at demonstration sites in the eco-settlement of Almarai;
2. Dissemination of knowledge and experience gained in the field of agroforestry among farmers, private individuals, public organizations and other interested parties.
Expected results
1. A demonstration plot was created on an area of 2 hectares of land with the development of 4 main agroforestry approaches applicable in the steppe zone of the Almaty region;
2. Water-saving technologies have been introduced, such as drip irrigation, mulching and wind protection systems, which save up to 50% of irrigation water;
3. A minimum of 50 peasant farms eco-settlement Almarai learned the basics and practices of agroforestry;
4. The main stakeholders (farmers, private household plots, private individuals, NGOs) gained knowledge about the benefits of agroforestry approaches and got acquainted with the experience of their practical implementation (> 5000 people through social networks,> 500 people through visits to agroforestry demonstration sites and the existing agro-forestry tourist farm settlement).
