Vita-Summer Greenhouse in Novotroitskoe village
The project is at the stage of implementation.
The project is aimed at capacity building of local communities to produce vegetables and herbs in container-based greenhouses with the subsequent marketing of products in the market.
Project activities include the following:
? growing, processing and selling of ecologically safe (organic) agricultural products in the immediate vicinity of the places of their production
? an educational campaign for the population on the collection and preparation of herbs and fruits
? organization of points of sale for manufactured products directly on site, through e-shop store and in the regional center.
Capacity building projects
The project is at the stage of implementation.
The project is aimed at strengthening the dialogue between NGOs, government authorities and other interested partners at the level of 7 pilot regions of the GEF SGP (Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay, Almaty, East Kazakhstan region, Kyzylorda and Turkestan), as well as promoting the best "green" practices and approaches. The project will strengthen the role of non-governmental organizations - executors of the GEF-6 pilot projects in promoting green technologies and approaches. A series of consultative meetings were held at the level of regional akimats in all pilot regions with the involvement of the main focus departments (ecology and nature management, housing and communal services, economy, education, social development, etc.). At the meetings, the GEF SGP grantees and project partners presented initiatives and results being implemented in the field.
Possible mechanisms for strengthening partnership at the regional level in terms of promoting green technologies were also discussed during the meetings.
In spring of 2021 it is planned to hold round tables with the participation of akims (deputy akims), where the results of already implemented projects will be presented, along with mechanisms for the possible promotion and replication of the most successful and sustainable approaches presented for general discussion.
Also, the results of the sixth phase of the SGP in a report format (based on the results of grant projects) will be presented to key ministries for dissemination of experience.
