Engaging civil society into the process of enhancing and implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)
Expected result 1: Broad public is informed about the process of updating NDCs, goals and key provisions of the Paris Agreement, as well as the basic climate indicators of the country, through different information and communication channels
Expected result 2: Civil society, business and academic community, as well as distinct groups whose interests can be affected as a result of climate measures implementation, including women, youth and people with disabilities, are engaged into discussions and development of recommendations to reduce GHG emissions by such sectors as energy, transportation, agriculture, forestry and land use. Developed recommendations are documented and provided to the task force on updating NDCs.
Expected result 3: Representatives of civil society and vulnerable groups are engaged into the process of national level consultations on NDCs update
Expected result 4: Broad public is informed about the commitments of the country that are reflected in the updated NDCs submitted to the Secretariat of UNFCCC, as well as about the measures that the civil society can take to support implementation of NDCs
Expected result 5: Capacity of civil society is strengthened to ensure their engagement into monitoring of NDCs implementation, especially implementation of commitments taken by private sector
