The project addresses an issue of arid landscape management by demonstrating how scarce water availability can be turned into sustainable land managment practices by introducing agroforestry system. The system will combine arid species of almond trees and technical crops in between, thus promoting alley cropping practice, demonstrating it to local communities as potentially beneficial for local population and environmentally sound.
