Reducing of Methane Gas from Pig Manure for Households by Biogas System Using in Laungprabang Province
Accelerating demand to reduce the environmental impact of natural fuels has been driving widespread in bringing the attention for renewable fuels, such as biogas. The production of energy from biogas in a pig farm will provide a good opportunity for sustainable rural development, augmenting farm?s income from traditional sources and for helping to reduce the overall environmental impact of the energy sector. There are three villages located in remote area of Pak Ou district, Luangprabang province which have pig production for their family income. The project will conduct center of biogas learning for animal?s waste management and utilization biogas for 15 households pig farms in PakOu (Ban Hadkham and Ban Xanghai and Xiengnern) districts that employs livestock sewage and manure waste. Therefore, project aim is to reduce the methane gas emission from pig manure in household raising by converting into bio energy at the project target villages; to establish a center of biogas learning and village model of biogas using from animal manure; to instill and promote of biogas using to children and youth people in the Luangprabang Province.
