Sustainable agriculture, fisheries and food security
Sustainable agriculture, fisheries and food security, it is important to protect the environment by reducing deforestation that contributes to climate change; development of agro-forestry sector by introducing new sources of revenue; and effective disposal of waste. The use of modern fertilizers has become increasingly important, redistributing and producing natural sources of energy. Sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and food security are important tasks to change the main way of life of the community, making them better income like women, youth and disadvantaged get a job. These things will reduce deforestation and for sale of NTFPs from people in village. The project will present case studies on capacity building for crop production, maintenance, fertilizer production in vegetable and sugarcane farms, rural areas ... in the rural area of Nong Teng village, Luang Prabang province to assess whether it can increase the income of agriculture and food production and the environment. The project aims to increase access to efficiency on food security and resilience for community; to capacity building for the community on market chain networking at villages and district level; to strengthen the adult and women in the community to have the ownership for efficient environmental and natural management including project design and evaluation.
