Knowledge Fair and Country Conference 2020 ? Focusing on Research and Innovation through Information, Education & Advocacy.
Knowledge Fair and Country Conference 2020 ? Focusing on Research and Innovation through Information, Education & Advocacy.
Since the convening of the first Knowledge Fair in Saint Lucia in 2018, we have gravitated to a formula in which the intellectual and the practical are iterative and the advocative and the policy dimensions are also promoted. In this second KF, the objectives are: (i) To provide the opportunity for discussions between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the Private Sector and Governments on the elements, framework and strategies for Sustainable Futures in the Region; (ii) to present the results of the most recent primary research conducted on Saint Lucia, which will help with understanding the environmental, social, economic and political threats which should be urgently addressed as people vision alternative futures; (iii) to present research and innovation luminaries from the diaspora, who can present their work as part of a process of motivating people to take risk and undertake research and innovation as an integral part of paving the way to sustainable futures; (iv) to present environmental and sustainable development projects as visible and viable manifestations of changes which are already occurring at the community level and in various sectors, and which can be adapted and upscaled to respond to individual or national needs; and (v) to conduct a rigorous and thorough evaluation of the entire project to identify lessons learned and areas for future improvement.

For the first time the UWI-Open Campus in Saint Lucia will be joining us, and we will be hosting the 10th Caribbean Beekeepers Congress in partnership with IAC and IICA.
