Phieng Ngam is a village of Taideng tribe in Luangnamtha district. There are only 10 families originally in village which preserve their own living lifestyle and traditional culture. Local government has encouraged and promoted the village to reserve traditional tribe that began in 2004 and village has become a tourism place which helps to make some kinds of income generation to local people. In order to continue in promoting tourism of village to growth more on activities and to ensure that villagers can protect the forest as well as forest resources, traditional culture and innovation. The community has participation along with effective benefits to Phieng Ngam villagers and sustainable activities. However, these activities are not improved or developed and inadequate for tourists visiting the village, the activities are not fully participated by the villagers and benefit has not been contributed to all households, so trending in near future if there is no any project funding to promoting forest protection, the forest will be destroyed, agricultural activities and traditional culture of Taideng tribe will not be preserved by new generation, lastly these kinds of thing will be gone. Therefore, the project propose is to conserve biodiversity aiming at forest protection and preserving traditional culture of Taideng tribe at Phieng Ngnam village by promoting, developing and creating more new tourism activities for more visitors, the project will help enable villagers to protect their own forest and culture by making income from getting more tourists visiting the village.
