Promoting Renewable Energy Technology among youths and women in Ugwaku Community, Okigwe LGA, Imo State, Nigeria
This is an ongoing project that has so far formed a project implementation committee, created awareness about climate change to over 500 people in Ugwaku community and provided solar to 100 households.This project therefore seeks to promote the Adoption of Renewable Energy Technology among women and girls in Ugwaku community as a fundamental means of community development. The project will demonstrate initiatives with photovoltaic systems, biodigestors, and efficient cook stoves. These initiatives will focus on community development processes and move to include a social approach, participation quotas, and technical training to help create conditions for women's empowerment. The project activities: 1. Practical demonstration and Training on the production of biogas. 2, Hands on Demonstration and Production of Efficient Cook Stoves. 3, Tree planting campaign. 4, Lessons Learnt and Knowledge sharing workshop
