Promote the use of solar energy, practices integrated farming and building some CBET infrastructure for IPs community of Phnom Namlear CPA. This project is aiming at supporting 222 (114 women) IPs living at O?Ronav Butoeut village to improve their livelihood through access to renewable energy, clean water for household?s consumption and for watering crops/animal raising and operating ecotourism services. In order to attract more visitors, project also build small-scale eco-tourism infrastructure such as 30-meter-long wooden staircase and 250-meter-high rock-climbing ropes, car/motorbike parking lot, a vegetable and flowers garden, a camping areas, an incinerator, a bathroom, and a toilet will be designed and built. 3,500 small trees will be planted at ecotourism site. An ecotourism management plan will be developed with the support from the village and commune authorities, Provincial Department of Environment (PDoE) and CIPO. This management plan will be mainstreaming into Commune Development Plan (CDP) and Commune Investment Programme (CIP). Project also support the legalization process of CPA to ensure that to that Phnom Namlear Community Protected Areas (PNLCPA) will have legal right to make use and sustainable management off 661.69 hectares of forest plus more than 150 hectares additional forest land was requested to put under PNLCPA management. Capacity building to PNLCPA committee members and Eco-tourism sub-community and documentation of lessons/good practices from the project implementation forms a part of the project activities.
