The Bdelul LA? Arkemais organization (BLA) is a non-profit organization that is comprised of residents of Meketii Hamlet, in Koror State. Essentially, BLA has developed, with the assistance of a Complete
Streets/Walkability Team (comprised of interested stakeholders from various fields and organizations),
a plan for the roadway adjacent to the main road that runs through Meketii Hamlet and the area
commonly known as T-Dock (Appendix A). The CS/W technology supports the overall reduction of
greenhouse gas emissions by addressing safety for walkability, impacts of sea level rise, and pollution.
Additionally, it applies green landscaping technology to increase active living, promote use of endemic
plants/trees (greening up), boosts the aesthetic/historical value of the area as well as promotes
equitable use by incorporating designs that are appropriate for persons with diverse abilities.
