The project is aimed to contribute at protecting the natural environment in coastal areas, creating a balanced sustainable exploitation and use of marine resources by development of a community-based ecotourism model in the estuarine and coastal alluvial areas of Ben Tre province.
Activities to be implemented include:
-Raising awareness of communities and relevant stakeholders on natural resource conservation,environment protection, sustainable agro-forestry and fisheries development, food security, preservation and promotion of indigenous cultural values and traditions.
-Building community-based ecotourism models in areas with potential development (rich and diverse in agro-forestry and marine resources, natural landscapes and basic infrastructure which can accommodate the increasing demand for travel and tourist activities).
-Drawing lessons learned for further replication.
