North Sound, part of the North Sound Watershed and nearby seascape, is one of the most significant areas of natural beauty, natural landscapes and features, endemic flora, and fauna, as well as heritage, cultural and folklore in Antigua and Barbuda. The area encompasses the largest remaining stretch of mangrove wetlands on Antigua, and is a source of economic benefit to farmers, tour operators and tourism, fisherfolk, and surrounding rural communities. The area is a refuge for endangered species
