?Enhancing Smallholder Farmer Resilience for Climate Change Adaptation in the Jokadou National Park?.
The project aims to work towards the the improvement of the livelihoods and lives of smallholder farmers through the implementation of climate sustainable adaptation and good environmental conservation strategies in five communities in the Jokadou National Park, North Bank Region.
Specific objectives
? To build capacities of 155 smallholder farmers on climate smart agricultural practices/technologies in order to increase food production in key crops, livestock and forest product by the end of the project period.
? To support 400 smallholder farmers in promotion and conservation of the environment and forest covers for the regeneration and rehabilitation of the loss environment and biodiversity for a balanced eco-system by the end of the project period.
? To equip 35 unemployed youths with skills in tree propagation and management as a source of income generation and supply of trees for enhanced and sustainable land management and food production by the end of the project period.
? To strengthen the management and decision making capacities of 30 smallholder women farmers by supporting and diversifying their income generation initiatives by the end of the project period.
