The goal of the project is to manage the community forest rserve of the village amounting to 552.3 heactares inorder to improve and sustain the provision of ecosystem goods and services for sustainable livelihood enhancement and biodiversity conservation. Bein the largest community forest reserve of the entire district, the project offers great opportunities for the communities in the area.
The project goal will be pursued through the following specific objecives:
- Establishment of a tree nursery and facilities for forest regeneration and stocking.
- Capacity building for forest management committee
- Entrepreneurship development for income generation.
