Socio Economic Development of Marri Tribe
The organization planned to initiate portable drinking water, water for irrigation of pasture, agricultural and afforestation, agricultural lands, literacy and education, health awareness, mother and child health centres, medical dispensaries, technical training centres for boys, handicraft centres for women, income generation projects and a model village at Tadi Tai. This was mainly aimed to address all micro-development problems during the proceeding five years (commencing in 1995).

The main long term objective of the programme was to provide support to the existing group of conscious people to expand in numbers and also undertake practical projects with an active participation of the community to meet the basic needs of the area on a sustainable basis.


To achieve these goals MEDA planned to encourage local participation. The organization?s main strategy was to infuse confidence and urge the community members to utilize their own capabilities and resources to solve their own problems.
