The use of environmentally friendly alternative technologies on the territory of the Kostyukovichi district (installation of solar-powered street lamps) as a way to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Project goal: to help reduce the energy dependence of the Kostyukovichi district and mitigate the negative effects of climate change through the introduction of alternative energy.
Project tasks:
1. Carrying out measures for the installation of street LED lamps on solar batteries as a condition for reducing the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and energy dependence of residents of the Kostyukovichi district.
2. Increasing the potential for the development of an energy efficient lifestyle and raising the awareness of residents of the Kostyukovichi district about climate change to protect the environment.
3. Creation of conditions for increasing the level of women's participation in decision-making at the local level in achieving sustainable development goal 13.
4. Broadcast and popularization of the project results.
Expected results:
- greenhouse gas emissions will decrease by about 2890 m3 per year, based on 15 installed LED lamps.
- savings on electricity bill will be about $ 700 per year
- the safety of children, men and women, employees of the gymnasium and the sports and recreation center, the elderly, young families and residents of the new microdistrict (about 3,700 residents) along the streets of Komsomolskaya and Sportivnaya will increase through the illumination of the territory of the district gymnasium and the adjacent pedestrian path at night , a sports ground, two pedestrian crossings, a path and a playground in the city park, a parking lot near the gymnasium, the territory of a family-type social home for children, a fitness center and a city stadium.
- the potential for the development of an energy efficient lifestyle of the population will increase. Awareness of the residents of the Kostyukovichi district about climatic changes will increase in order to make everyone's contribution to protecting the environment.
- during the events, attention will be paid to the implementation of the principles of gender equality.

Project Characteristics and Results
Policy Influence
Developing and carrying out of a single regional lesson in educational institutions of the Kostyukovichi district on the topic "Greenhouse effect - the cause of climate change"
A single regional lesson on energy saving was held in 13 educational institutions of the Kostyukovichi district. Classes in grades 8-11 were held during April 2022. A regulation on a single district lesson has been developed, which will be applied in all subsequent years in the district.
Replication of project activities
