Partnership Meetings: The project conducted four rounds of partnership meetings to identify like-minded organizations that shared the project's vision. Following careful deliberation, the project successfully established strategic partnerships with the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) and WWF Bhutan, which played a crucial role in supporting and advancing the project's objectives.
"I am a Tree Hugger 2.0" Campaign: The project effectively disseminated information about the "I am a Tree Hugger 2.0" campaign through various communication channels, including social networking sites, mainstream media, radio, and regional youth group meetings in South Asia. This campaign was specifically designed to engage and motivate youth during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign's video reached an impressive virtual audience of 8,000 viewers, while the visually captivating posters resonated with approximately 40,000 individuals.
Endorsement by Youth Icons: The project was fortunate to receive endorsement and support from two influential youth icons, who utilized their popular social media handles and blogs to promote the campaign. Their involvement significantly expanded the campaign's reach and impact among the target audience.
Campaign Participation: The project received an overwhelming response from individuals, with more than 120 participants submitting entries for the "I am a Tree Hugger" campaign. This enthusiastic participation underscored the dedication and commitment of young people to environmental conservation.
Design Thinking Toolkit: In collaboration with WWF Bhutan, the project developed a hybrid Design Thinking Toolkit for Local Eco-Action Initiative. This comprehensive self-empowerment program equipped individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to initiate environmental actions in their communities. As part of the program, ten participating colleges from the Royal University of Bhutan successfully implemented various local actions, including kitchen waste composting, cloth waste upcycling, and zero food waste campaigns.

Environmental Justice Series: The project organized four monthly environmental justice series from July to December 2021, providing an engaging platform for youth to actively participate in discussions and learn about environmental issues and potential solutions.
Capacity Building: A key focus of the project was the development of project management and communication skills among the team's volunteers and interns. Through dedicated training and mentorship, the project empowered 12 individuals to effectively contribute to achieving the project's goals.

9. Beneficiaries:
Until May 2023, the project directly benefitted a total of 370 youth, with 191 females and 179 males, who actively engaged in various project activities. Their involvement and commitment were instrumental in driving positive change within their communities.

Local Actions and Inclusivity: The project successfully conducted a young birders camp and organized three impactful local actions, such as riverbed cleaning, to instill a sense of responsibility and foster a stronger connection to the environment. Moreover, the project made concerted efforts to ensure inclusivity by actively involving five individuals with disabilities in its program.

Community Waste Solution Dialogue: To address pressing waste management challenges, the project facilitated Community Waste Solution Dialogues in four gewogs in Sarpang Dzongkhag. By actively engaging community members and local stakeholders, the project supported the development of effective local solutions.

Celebration of Environmental Champions: The project celebrated and recognized the contributions of three local environmental champions who had made significant efforts towards environmental conservation. These champions served as inspiring role models for others, highlighting the importance of individual dedication and actions.

In conclusion, the project successfully engaged and empowered youth in environmental conservation. Through strategic partnerships, impactful awareness campaigns, capacity building initiatives, and local actions, the project made a tangible and positive impact on the environment. The dedication and commitment of the youth participants, along with the support from key stakeholders, contributed to the project's success in fostering sustainable environmental change
